I've owned this futon frame for just about 2 years now and it's proven itself to be a very solid piece. I love the tray arms and the drawer units, too! The drawers are very handy for stashing away a couple of throws and even a pillow. The tray arms and the drawers also class it up and make it look a little more like a regular piece of traditional furniture (think "Pottery Barn" or "Crate & Barrel") and a little less like that college frat house futon you had back in the 90's. Plus if you move, you only need to partially disassemble it and not have to worry about trying to maneuver a traditional sofa through doorways and up or down stairs. Bonus!

We received our futon/couch in a timely matter, even though it was a little delayed by flooding in our area. My nineteen year old son put it together with a little help from his Dad. My kids put a twin mattress on the back and doubled over twin mattress on the seat. Itis very comfortable. I thought it was great that I could sit back and still put my feet on the floor. (I am only 5'2") I asked my 6'3" husband if he liked it, because of this. He said he was totally comfortable leaning back and stretching out his legs. My son and daughters seem totally happy as well. The drawers are great for storing throws and my daughter is planning to storing an "in progress puzzle" in one of them. (Perfect for keeping it out of the reach of 3dogs and 4 cats) Just slide it in and back out when you want. Reasonable price for an attractive couch that is sturdy and well made.I feel confident in my opinion since I grew up in family business which specialized in building, repairing and refinishing furniture.

The futon is very attractive look, well built, and comfortable. The only reason it loses a star is because the directions were terrible. My boyfriend and I had to take it apart at least three times because the directions were written poorly. Keep in mind that despite the high price, this doesn't not come with a mattress. If you don't like to build things, kick in the extra for assembly.
